I am banker from an ASEAN country who has 15 years banking experience mostly in credit risk management at local and international banks. My qualification is MBA in Finance and would appreciate if anyone could give me an average salary range based on my experience and qualification, thanks.

These days the salary range has come off due to recession and lay offs. With your experience you should get in excess of BD 2000

The world of finance which affects each and everyone of us is in turmoil and yet the people responsible for this horrendous mess stay untouched.
As the international banking and finance business is protected by governments in a way that no other business is, shouldn’t the people who run these businesses have to be more responsible for their actions.
It may make them behave more resonsibly if they knew that they would go to jail for a long time should their businesses go belly up because of their mismanagement and greed.

Your comments have quite restored my faith in humanity! However could we apply your very sound principles to all those in so called positions of authority who laugh at the rest of us on a daily basis.

I have been looking into International Banking, International Marketing, and Finances. I was wondering if I could get more details on them, what they do, and the goods and bads or ups and downs to each of them. Thank you.

I guess it depends on what two languages you speak. If it’s Spanish than you might be able to get a job managing a McDonald’s

I have read from various sources that the Rothschild family has between 200 and 400 TRILLION dollars (U.S). Yes this is a family and not an individual person but let’s say there is a hundred of them, then they would have between 2 to 4 TRILLION dollars each. Finding information on these guys is extremely difficult. If anyone could suggest sites that give a good history and present day situation of this dynasty I would appreciate it. Jewish friends may know of Baron Jacob Rothschild as "the father of the settlement" and the man who popularised the "Seal of Solomon" making it so synonomous with Judaism. The family has many business interests but made the bulk of it’s unfathomable wealth through international banking and finance. Certain members of the family are said to be highly instrumental in world politics behind the scenes.

Utter hogwash.

You say finding information on the Rotschilds is difficult yet you claim to have read in various sources their wealth.
And of course you do not disclose those sources.

For the record, I know a Rothschild family in the town I live, and although they are well off, I can assure you they are not rich by the literal definition of the term, and they certainly do not have 2-4 trillion dollars (or billion or million).

Hello, I’m working on an assignment for international banking/finance but I need a help.

The question is that assume that both the U.S. and Europe experience high unemployment. How can the U.S. central bank attempt to adjust the dollar value to reduce this problem? Is the European central bank likely to go along with the U.S. central bank’s strategy or retaliate? Why?

It would be nice to know if anyone helps me out.

If the US did it Europe would too.

By the way, if you need homework help again,

Yahoo Answers has several hundred categories. You posted in
Yahoo Products -> Yahoo Answers.

The category is for questions about Yahoo answers -
"How do I post a question?"
"How do I pick best answer?"
"Why do they asterisk out some words?"

While you might get an answer to your question here, you’d probably get a much better answer, more quickly, if you posted your question again in a different category. You will have to pick the category manually. For instance, if your question has the word "Question" or "Answer" in it, the automatic category picker decides you should post in this category.

It turns out it is a violation of the TOS to just tell someone they should post again in a different category; we are supposed to let you sit there waiting for an answer without helping, even if your question is several days old. So, I took my best shot at a good answer for you. My expertise is limited, so the answer I gave might not be very good, but it is an answer.

Best wishes!

I’m about to start my college career and am majoring in international business with a concentration in finance. I speak Spanish fluently and am familiar in Italian. I want to go into international banking, but I want to find out what countries are big in international investing. I’m willing to learn an eastern language if that’s what is necesary, but I would prefer a European country that’s heavily involved in finance, as I speak two other European languages.

Since you are speaking in English, I assume you know english. If you speak Spanish and Italian correctly, then probably French is the next easiest language to learn, but German will probably be the most useful, especially since it is a number of the German speaking languages in Europe that are the centers of Finance.

Good luck. International Finance is going to be wild ride during the next few years.

I’m wondering if there are any PRIVATE funds that have a similar mission to the IFC, the private investment arm of the World Bank. They need to be aiming towards development projects in various areas in developing/Third World countries. Thanks
I’m sure banks like HSBC are active in many countries but could you really say they have the same mission as the IFC/World Bank?

Multinational private banks that have Trade and Financing departments..
